Is the laptop adapter plugged in? Yes. No.
What happens when the power button is held down for 3 seconds? Lights come on, but nothing on the screen.. Nothing at all.. It turns on and boots to Windows normally..
This is potentially a dead adapter issue. Offer a replacement adapter, if covered under warranty..
Is it beeping? Yes. No.
RAM is unseated in Laptop. Check Youtube for a RAM replacement guide for their laptop's model #..
Set up repair for the laptop, it may need a screen replacement or other hardware repairs..
In Windows, does the battery indicator show that a battery is present / charging? Yes. No.
Sounds like everything is good to go!.
Battery is likely dead. Advise the battery isn't covered under warranty, and direct them to a replacement battery on eBay, Amazon, etc..
Plug the adapter into the Laptop, and into the wall. Will the PC boot now? Yes. No.

Does this adapter have a light on the power brick indicating it's plugged in to the wall? (Some will not have an indicator light). Yes. No / Doesn't have a light.
If the light is on and plugged into the laptop, but the laptop isn't receiving power, the laptop connection is having problems. Set up a repair if under warranty..
